When I was younger, we’re talking pre-kids, my wants were things like CD’s, pedicures, new clothes, etc. As I’ve gotten older, had kids, bought a house…my wants and wishes have turned to things like a new dishwasher, or a front loading washer and dryer (I especially want a pretty colored one…has to be a pretty color), or a new stainless steel refrigerator that has a locking water and ice machine so my kids stop trying to squirt water into each others mouth, leaving me with a huge wet spot on the floor.
Of course, we just bought a new fridge not even 5 years ago so unless I find a way to break the one I have (and win the lottery), I’m stuck with my kids squirting water into each others mouth. Is it bad that I am partially hoping one of them accidentally sucks the water up there nose, making the game less appealing to them??? I’ve said it before, my kids have to learn the hard way with most things. I may not need a new fridge, but my dishwasher is ancient. OK so it’s not that old, but it is the one appliance in the house that we did not replace when we moved in. So lately I have been comparing prices online for a new dishwasher and I’m thinking we’ll save up to get one some time this summer. Probably by then, I’ll have found the best shopping deal or whatever and maybe we’ll also win the lottery so I can get my new fridge with the nifty locking feature!
Hey I can dream, right?
