James Patterson and My Pipe Dream

When I was little, I wanted to be a farmer…that is, until I found out that farmers scoop poop.  Then when I saw the episode of The Simple Life where Nicole Richie shoved her arm up a cows butt, I was VERY glad I did not pursue that dream.  Though, the other night I dreamed I had a cow in my bedroom.  I heard it mooing and everything.  I also took Tylenol PM that night too.  I’m sure there’s a correlation.  I hope there’s a correlation!

My dream now? To be a writer. A professional writer.  More specifically, I want to be James Patterson.  James Patterson books keep me on the edge of my seat (especially the Alex Crossseries) and I’m always left wondering what was going to happen next.  I want to do that to someone else.  I want someone to WANT to read what I write.  I WANT someone to repeatedly check Amazon to find out when my next novel was coming out. Most importantly, I want people to say, “wow. She is the female James Patterson”.

I’ve let many dreams slide by, but not this one.  This one I will make a reality someday…even if it’s just my husband checking Amazon to humor me.  I will have a published book.  What it will be about, I don’t know.   But shoot, my life is so full of different dramas, it wouldn’t be that hard to branch off from one of my dramas!

So watch out James Patterson, this Domestic Goddess is going to give you a run for your money!
