The other day I told you about the nightmares I’ve been having about my skin. I’m really not a beauty product person. I’ve never liked spending money on make-up and other beauty products (unless it’s shampoo/conditioner…I have little problem when it comes to buying hair stuff). But I have to tell you, lately I’ve been trying some new products for my skin and I think my nightmares are pretty much over.

One of my most FAVORITE products I’m using right now is a Brazilian Peel by Advanced Home Actives. When I was first asked to try this product, I almost turned it down. You see…I had a bad experience with facial peels in the past that has pretty much turned me off from ever wanting to use them again (picture the peel permanently fusing itself to my face, making it impossible to peel or wash off…PAINFUL!). However, this is a product you can purchase at Sephora so I figured the likelihood of it never coming off was slim to none!
So what exactly is the Brazilian Peel:
The one-step Brazilian Peel combines 30% glycolic acid with ethically sourced Acai to visibly brighten, smooth, firm and tone skin. An affordable alternative to pricey professional peels, Brazilian Peel removes dead skin cells, stimulating cell regeneration to minimize fine lines, sun spots and dryness caused by UV rays. With just one use, Brazilian Peel reveals a firmer, smoother, brighter complexion—the perfect boost for your summer glow!
I like that the Brazilian Peel does not contain any Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, GMO’s or Triclosan. Which, if you are unsure of what all those things are…look them up and start looking at the other products you are using…you may want to switch your products to be free of those things above. Anything that can alter our body’s hormones, etc is not a good thing.
With the very first time trying the Brazilian Peel, I was hooked. My skin looked and felt amazing after! There was absolutely no redness to my face at all and my pores were all tight and closed. Normally I look in the mirror and I can see all my LARGE pores and I hate that, but after using the Brazilian Peel, I loved how my face looked. It looked more like it did years and years ago!
For $78 you get 4 applications (one application a week). I’ve done 3 of the applications and I’m loving my skin right now…which is so not the norm for me during the summer. This is definitely a product I will purchase once I’ve used up all my applications. My only complaint is if you have any tiny cuts on your face at all, then the Brazilian Peel burns a little during the 10 minutes you are wearing it. But it’s by no means unbearable and the results of your skin after that 10 minutes totally makes up for the little burning you feel.
