I’ve pretty much made peace with the fact that I am diabetic and I will forever have to live a life watching what I eat so I don’t end up having to give myself insulin.  In fact…I may or may not have even been quoted as saying that “finding out I am diabetic was probably the best thing to ever happen to me“.  And it’s true.  I am so much healthier now than I was back in February.

But I have to admit…a couple things have been a little rough this summer.  One being that not a single 7-Eleven in the area has Diet slurpees.  I mean seriously, what is up with that?  And then there’s the whole lemonade thing.  I love lemonade.  But it’s obviously not in my best interest to waste my carbs on a drink.  So I don’t drink lemonade any more unless it’s Crystal Light Lemonade.

Alcohol is another issue for me.  I liked being able to have a Margarita every so often.  But…since alcohol (and whatever I mix it with) raises my blood sugar so much, it’s just not worth it.  And believe me…going out to dinner with friends and family where they are all ordering Margarita’s and other mixed drink really stinks to be stuck with an ice water or diet pop.

But guess what!  Crystal Light has come up with an awesome alternative…New Crystal Light Mocktails!  Now people like me who can’t have a regular Margarita, Mojito,  or Appletini can have it without having to worry about how it is going to effect them!  The New Crystal Light Mocktails contain under 5 calories per serving, 0 carbs, and they are gluten free!

This weekend I plan on making a pitcher of the New Crystal Light Margarita flavored Mocktail, but instead of drinking it “on the rocks” I want to put it in my Vitamix Blenderwith some ice and make it like a frozen Margarita!

The New Crystal Light Mocktails are around for a very short period of time so be sure to get yours today!

I was giving the New Crystal Light Mocktails from Kraft foods.  All opinions stated are solely mine.
