I am ALWAYS on the look out for good breakfast and snack options.  When I was if I wanted to try out the new Kraft Foods belVita Breakfast Biscuits, I was a tad skeptical.  To be honest, they don’t look like something I would typically like.  But I said yes.  Shoot, if I expect my kids to try new things, I have to be willing to…right?

Here’s a little information about the belVita Breakfast Biscuits:

  • Provides nutritious sustained energy for the whole morning
  • 18-20g of delicious whole grain per serving
  • Good source of fiber and B vitamins
  • No High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • No hydrogenated oils
  • No Artificial flavors or sweeteners

The new Kraft Foods belVita Breakfast Biscuits come in three great varieties:  blueberry, apple cinnamon, and golden oat.  You get five packages of four breakfast biscuits (each individually wrapped) in each box.  The suggested retail price is $3.69 (but I just saw them on the shelf and they were on sale!!).  The nice thing about the belVita Breakfast Biscuits is the fact that they were created with nutritionists in order to provide nutritious sustained energy for the whole morning.  So what exactly is “nutritious sustained energy”?

The sustained energy release results from a combination of specially selected ingredients and a carefully controlled baking process that helps preserve the integrity of the grain, so that the carbohydrates are released regularly and continuously to fuel the body.

Now I told you at the beginning that I was skeptical.  Oh my gosh!  I was so wrong!  They are absolutely delicious!!  The blueberry are by far my favorite.  The golden oat flavor are really good too!  I have not tried, nor will I try the apple cinnamon, but that is only because I cannot handle cinnamon.  I can’t stand it.  But my husband loves it!  Pair these breakfast biscuits with a small yogurt cup and a small fruit and you have a very nutritious breakfast!

It seems like my body works best when I have oatmeal and peanut butter for breakfast. I tried eating other things but they don’t hold me over till lunchtime. I’m excited to try Belvita!

My favorite thing would be sausage or eggs, but I usually eat something like cereal, toast, or yogurt instead.

My favorite breakfast is sausage gravy and biscuits — maybe a side of hash browns, and if we’re going all out a slice or two of bacon ヅ *Thanks* for the giveaway!
