The Revlon Expression Experiement

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Revlon. All opinions are 100% mine.

Recently I had a box filled with Revlon make-up to test out.  It was for the Revlon Expression Experiment.  I was very excited to try this out because I am not one to try new things in the make-up department.  Shoot…I barely wear make-up half the time.  Check out the products I received:

When I saw red lipstick…I was instantly scared.  I have never been able to pull off red lipstick…not many people can, or so I thought!  But the thing about the Revolon Expression Experiment is for women to move out of thier comfort zone when it comes to make-up and push their beauty boundaries.  For me, the lipstick sent to me was definitely taking me out of my comfort zone.  But I gave it a try and much to my surprise, it looked pretty good!

The first picture is me wearing the Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Fire.  I didn’t mind this one, but it was a tad too red for me.  The middle picture is me wearing the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Cherry Tart.  I LOVED this one.  I was a tad scared when I opened it, but it is not as dark as it looks in the tube and I honestly feel like I look really great in it and have worn it every day since trying it on…even to the gym!  The third picture I am wearing Revlon Super Lustrious Lipstick in Fire & Ice.  Like the lipgloss, this was not my favorite, but I was pleasantly surprised that it still looked OK on me!

Overall, I was very happy with this experiment.  I feel that the Revlon Expression Experiment is an empowering tool for women because it gives women the opportunity to really shine and use make-up to bring out their best features.  So often women cover themselves up with the big baggy clothes they wear or apply make-up that hides their natural beauty.  Head on over to Facebook and join the movement of self-expression!

I tried out different colors of eye shadow, nail polish, and also gave makeup primer a try (which, if you have not tried this out, definitely do so!) and I really liked the entire experience.  Leave me a comment about what you would like to try out most in the Revlon Expression Experiment.

Who would have thought I would be wearing red on my lips…not me!

LOVE the look of the Lip Butter in Cherry Tart. We have similar color hair and skin tone so I’m hoping it’ll look good on me. The only time I wear a lip color is when I’m all dolled up for a special occasion but I do plan on purchasing this next time I’m out… I feel like it could be one of those every day, easy things to put on to boost my confidence and make me feel prettier!

I bought it today and unfortunately I’m not a fan. On you it looks stunning and almost natural. On me, it looks like you in the picture on the left. Too bright and “pinky” for my liking. Bummed!
