How would you like to make sure $68 returns to your community in the form of taxes, salaries or charitable contributions? You can do this buy shopping at your local, independently owned small businesses. According to the 3/50 Project, for every $100 you spend at your local small businesses…$68 returns to your community. If you choose to shop the national chain stores, only $43 returns to your community.
Shopping local provides other benefits, such as:
- Economic stability
- Community development
- Reduced environmental impact
- A diverse product selection
- Better customer service
