When I can, I like to make all my bread from scratch…but let’s face it, I’m crazy busy with the kids and the last thing I have time for is kneading bread dough.  So as an alternative, I buy the (following link takes you to Arnold bread)  Arnold Italian bread.  I like that it doesn’t have any high fructose corn syrup in it.  Despite that stupid commercial with the people eating Popsicle’s, it’s not good for you!

Recently I was asked to try out the Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat Sandwich Thins.  Since I love the brand, I definitely jumped at the chance!  My husband and kids really like to eat breakfast sandwiches.  Using the Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat Sandwich Thins, we made the following breakfast sandwiches (I had pictures, but my daughter decided to delete them, so imagine how delicious they look!):

Egg, Ham and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat Sandwich Thin
  • 1 egg
  • Ham
  • Swiss cheese

Directions

  1. Toast the sandwich thin in the toaster.
  2. Fry 1 egg and place it on the sandwich thin.
  3. Add one slice of ham and one slice of Swiss cheese.

We’ve tried different variations of this sandwich.  Sometimes my kids want bacon or sausage in place of the ham.  As for the cheese, my husband and I are the only ones that like Swiss…the kids prefer cheddar cheese.  You can pretty much do what you want with your breakfast sandwich.

Soon I’d like to make a bunch ahead of time and try to freeze them for even quicker and easier breakfast options!

Have you tried these before?  What do you add to your Sandwich Thin?

**I was provided with a coupon to pick up a package of Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat Sandwich Thins.  No other compensation was received.
