Cascade Platinum Review!

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

About two weeks ago, I realized I was doing something each and every time I took a cup or water bottle out of the dishwasher.  I was filling it with water, swishing it around, pouring it out and drying the cup.  Using the dishwasher became pointless.  I tried a different brand of dishwasher detergent, but everything was coming out of the dishwasher with a chalky film on it.  Gross.

So, of course, when I was asked by Mom Central to try out the Cascade Platinum Pacs, I jumped at the chance!  Here are a few of the things that sold me on the Cascade Platinum Pacs BEFORE I even used them:

  • Triple action formula helps to prevent residue on dishes and film on the machine.
  • Scrubs away 24 hour stuck-on-food.
  • Has the grease fighting power of Dawn!

No more residue on my cups?  Excellent!  But that second one…that was the selling point for me!  Do you know how many times my daughter has a bowl of cereal and a piece of cereal doesn’t get rinsed off the bowl and it is basically fused their for life?  All. The. Time.

Cascade has partnered with Top Chef judge and editor of Food+Wine magazine, Gail Simmons.  Check out this video where Gail gives tips on how to most effectively load your dishwasher:

Are you good at loading the dishwasher or are you like me…you just shove things in there and if they fit, they fit and if they don’t, they go in the next washing?

I’ve been using this for about 2 weeks and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. It’s the best I’ve ever used.

I’m trying these also and my experience has not been as glowing. I’ve been using them for almost 2 weeks and I’ve noticed that my dishes have an egg smell – even when there are no eggy dishes in the washer. The dishwasher itself does seem to be cleaner.

oh wow. I haven’t noticed that at all. I just ran the dishwasher today. No egg smell. I will say, a few years ago, an egg smell was coming out of my sink and it ended up being gunk in the pipes right there. I hope that helps.
