Family movie nights are really important in our house. We try to do it once every weekend. My husband is home on the weekends so the kids get a kick out of getting pizza, popcorn and sometimes a Slurpee and settling in front of the t.v. and laughing until bedtime. This week is Teen Beach Movie. The kids are beside themselves excited to see it.

The Disney Channel is notorious for having great family night movies. And now, similar to their Camp Rock and High School Musical, they will be rocking and rolling on the beach with Teen Beach Movie!
Plot
Teen Beach Movie follows teen surfing sweethearts, Brady and McKenzie, who together ride the last wave of summer, one that mysteriously takes them into a classick beach party movie, Wet Side Story. There, it’s surfers versus bikers for control of the beach hangout…and…everyone spontaneously breaks into song and dance. Now, Brady and McKenzie must try to return to present day, but their lives may be changed forever when they inadvertently alter the movie’s romantic storyline when handsome surfer Tanner falls for McKenzie and biker girl Lela starts swooning for Brady.

This movie will premier on July 19, 2013 (8 pm EST) on the Disney Channel. This movie is geared towards kids, tweens and their families. Thanks to Team Mom and the Disney Channel, I was sent a really nice Teen Beach Movie gift pack that my kids have had a blast with!
(the surf board they are eating pizza on is supposed to be blown up, but I seriously almost passed out trying to blow the darn thing up and the bike pump was no help…so we improvised!)
