La-Z-Boy…So Much More than Recliners!

When I was growing up, my parents each had their own recliners.  That was their chair.  The chair that if they were to walk into the room, you knew to get up and give it to them.  I wanted one of those chairs!  When I got  pregnant with my son, I had a really hard time sleeping.  All of our furniture in our little house was hand-me-downs.  There’s nothing wrong with that, but none of it was comfortable for me to really relax in.  So we went to the La-Z-Boy store in the city I grew up in.  I pretty much knew what I wanted before I even walked in the door!  We ended up with a microfiber recliner that I slept in from my 5th month of pregnancy until I delivered my son.  I still have that chair today (I’m sitting in it as I type this) and it is in great condition almost 10 years later.

That particular La-Z-Boy store closed, but I’m happy to announce that La-Z-Boy is coming back to Michigan!  The first store to open is in Sterling Heights, but others will be opening later this year!!

La-Z-Boy Recliners

Now ladies…La-Z-Boy is SOOO much more than just recliners (though I love recliners and there is nothing more comfortable than to sit in my chair, covered up with a blanket and watching Pitch Perfect…the movie I’m currently obsessively watching)!  Check it out:

  • La-Z-Boy manufactures a wide variety of great-looking (and affordable!!) furniture for the living room and family room that includes stationary, motion and sleep sofas; loveseats; sectionals; ottomans; accessories; and of course…recliners!
  • La-Z-Boy furniture is fully-customizable with roughly 800 fabrics and 100 leathers to choose from!  Definitely something for everyone!
  • They offer FREE In-Home Design from trained professionals!

Tomorrow night I will be heading over to the Sterling Heights store to pick out some new, much needed furniture for my family room!  I cannot wait!!  Though I am sad to replace my recliner!  Look for my post on my new furniture once I get it!

Do you own anything from La-Z-Boy?  I’m telling you, check out their website!  Not only are their prices reasonable, but their furniture is very stylish!

Oooh! I can’t wait to see what you pick out. I’d love a nice recliner for my living room – I could use some more furniture.

When I had my old house, my husband and I had matching La-Z-Boy recliners, and loved them. I wish we had never sold them, but we couldn’t put them in our travel trailer. I hope to have some more someday

That’s funny about your parent’s chairs … mine were EXACTLY the same way. My dad and mom each had their own Lazboy that no one else dared sit in. After my dad died in March my mom couldn’t stand looking at their chairs anymore. She took me into LaZBoy and I helped her pick out a new furniture set. She ended up getting the exact sectional set I’ve been hoping to get in the next year or so. It came in last week …. oh em gee, soooo comfy! Have fun shopping!

My grandpa has always had a La-Z-Boy chair. Normally he is sitting it in all day, but after he goes to bed is when the grandkids would always have their chance to use it.

I seriously have wanted one of these chairs for myself for years!

My folks both had their recliners, too! I was just telling my husband that I want to get some – I’ve always found them comfy, but the old-fashioned styles didn’t fit my taste – but now they have so many styles… many of which don’t even look like recliners unless the footrest is up. I like that a lot!

I don’t like the traditional look of recliners and am glad that La-Z Boy makes some really cute recliners nowadays.

Our local store closed a few years back. 🙁 I love that their furniture is fully customizable. I could have a field day with that!

I have the La-Z-Boy recliners my grandparents bought 22 years ago. We are only thinking about replacing them because my kids spilled fish oil all over them. We are definitely going back and getting more. Of hopefully the exact same ones. They are my favorite recliners ever!

I’ll have to hide this post from my husband. Yes…La Z Boy is awesome — that’s the problem! He’d order TWO of them!

It really is not stinky. I actually bought another one. I put a litter box on the first floor and I have one back behind something near it so it’s easy clean up. The one in my master bathroom is right under this weird greenhouse window so it gets hot in that corner and it does not smell at all.

My hubs would love if I just had one of those delivered about right now. I think I would too though!

My parents had (still do, actually) La-Z-Boy furniture when I was a kid. I would LOVE to have La-Z-Boy, but when I got married we didn’t have the money to buy nice, quality stuff, so we bought cheap-o. It still works, so we haven’t upgraded.

I have always wanted a La-Z-Boy but we always seem to end up with the hand-me-downs. We haven’t had new furniture in forever! Our sectional is like 13 years old and we keep stapling pieces back on it.

I can’t wait to see what you pick out, La-Z-Boy is one of those brands that just screams quality to me, and I love a company that has been around for so long.

We have a Lazy Boy store not to far from me. I always look in the window while walking to the store next to it, but have no furniture budget at present so I don’t go in. No need to be needlessly tempted. I already know they have great stuff 🙂
