When I was in middle school, one of my favorite things to do was read. My mom would take me to the library and I would check out several books and end up finishing them well before they were due. One particular day, I had completely read through everything when I saw a book my mom had gotten in the mail. It was a Chicken Soup for the Soul book. I remember curling up on the couch and reading and not being able to put the book down. I really liked the fact that people like me wrote a lot of the stories for the books. It was on that day that I began dreaming about having my writing published one day.

My Thoughts
I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read and I had it done in one afternoon. I was supposed to be cleaning, but you know…the couch and book were so much more enjoyable! I really liked that I was reading a new story, but also got to see exactly what story (and the book it came from) that inspired the author to write and submit their story to Chicken Soup for the Soul. I haven’t read a Chicken Soup for the Soul book in quite a few years and this book renewed my passion to write something, submit it and have it published in a future Chicken Soup for the Soul book!
