This post brought to you by Manwich. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s football season in our house…know what that means?  We need easy meals that can be on the table quickly and cleaned up quickly.  One thing Dan and I realy like, but the kids have never had before (which I don’t know how that’s possible) is Sloppy Joes.

I was super excited to be sent three different kinds of Manwich to try out:

  • Original
  • Bold
  • Thick & Chunky

Now you’ve all probably seen the Manwich TV Ads.  Really, all you need is a can opener, one pound of ground beef, a frying pan and some buns or wraps.  However, if you would like, check out the Manwich Recipes for other ideas.

Since my kids have never tried Manwich, I decided to make each one as is.  It was super simple to make and I didn’t have to dirty more than one pan!  I just drained the fat out of the browned ground beef and poured the Manwich in and let it simmer for about 30-45 mins on low.

I don’t normally do this, but I also made mac n cheese as a side because I had a pretty good feeling that the kids would take one look at this and not eat it.  They can be rather picky at times.  However, Bella…who is my child that is VERY good about trying things…loved it!  She tried every kind.  Thick & Chunky was her favorite!

(notice the Mac n Cheese went completely untouched.  I think she ate 1 1/2 sandwiches)

Now Zachary…he was a harder sell.  Ultimately he took one bit and decided to stick with the mac n cheese. Though, I’m guessing that if he would give it a second chance…a real chance…he would like it.  Bella, on the other hand, liked it so much, that she begged me to have leftovers for breakfast!!

Manwich is the perfect meal for busy families.  It works well with our busy football schedule and will definitely be made a couple times a month!!!
