Thinking back to what my kids liked to play with most when they were two years old, it was either the box the present came in or anything that made noise. Check out the video in this post of my daughter when she was two and my son when he was four…they loved making music!!! If they were going to have toys that made noise, I preferred it to be music and not some annoying siren (Zack had many of those toys over the years…a cop on a motorcycle comes to mind).
Besides having toys that make quality noise, I also like to have toys that are made to withstand a two year old playing with it. Nothing frustrated me more than having something break after they drop it on the ground or hit it into a wall by accident (or on purpose…). One toy I wish I had for my kids when they were little is the HABA Musical Eggs.
About the Musical Eggs
The musical eggs are made of beechwood. My Thoughts
I really like this toy! When I first opened it, I was going to say that I thought it could go for a younger child, but then I thought back to what my son was like when he was younger that two and thought better of it. My son used to throw everything! While I like that this toy is made out of wood, I wouldn’t want to have one of those sailing through my house!
The price, in my opinion, is a tad high, BUT I do realize you are getting a toy made out of quality material and if I was used to seeing more toys like that, I would think nothing of the price. So with that said, I believe you are getting your money’s worth with the HABA Musical Eggs!
