Yes…you read that right!  And no, I am not talking about the Detroit Lions!  I wish the Detroit Lions would just make it to the Super Bowl. This Detroit sports fan can hope, but I sincerely doubt I will ever see that. However, I am talking about my son and his little league football team.  They won all of their games during their regular season which gave them the first place spot going into the play-offs.  They won that game and successfully secured themselves a spot in the Super Bowl!  That game was today!!

Little League Football

During the first half, our team scored a touchdown and got the extra point.  For the rest of the game, I don’t think the other team got remotely close to their end zone until around 2 minutes left.  Let me tell you, that was the LONGEST two minutes ever.  But our defense stepped it up and were able to prevent them from scoring…the clock ran out and we won!!  The stands exploded!  It was so awesome to see our boys jumping all over the place, hugging each other, hugging the coaches, and just genuinely excited to have won something after all their hard work and dedication this season.

How Happy is He?

Well I don’t know about you, but I think this picture says it all. Just look at how happy Zack is to have won this trophy with his team:

So proud of these boys and their little league football win!! I think Zachary is sleeping with his trophy tonight! Can you blame him? They worked hard all season long and their hard work paid off in a big way. This win is something they will remember for years and years to come. Shoot, my husband still remembers his little league football win too!
