Being a mom is probably one of the hardest and most demanding jobs I’ve ever had. I have two kids that are a little older (almost 10 and 7), but this past weekend I babysat my nieces and nephew. They are 4, 2, and less than 1. I completely forgot what it was like to have kids that depended on you for EVERYTHING! It was fun, but boy am I glad that I only have two children…two children that are relatively self-sufficient!

About the Multitasking Mom’s Survival Guide
When I was asked to write about Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Multitasking Mom’s Survival Guide, I knew I had to read it (and maybe pass it on to my sister in-law)! This book is filled with 101 funny and inspiring stories for us mothers who do it all. The book is broken up into the following categories:
- Making “Me Time”
- Feeding the Family
- Sharing Good Advice
- Laughing After the Fact
- Handling Housework Hassles
- Learning from the Kids
- Juggling a Career
- Feeling Guilty
- Slowing Down
I don’t know about you, but I could write a story for each and every one of those categories! Well, except for the Slowing Down category. I don’t think I’ll get the chance to slow down until my youngest goes away to college. My absolute FAVORITE story in the entire book is called The Meltdown. I could totally relate. My daughter is VERY headstrong. She will definitely give me a run for my money when she’s a teen!
Give This as a Gift
This would make a nice gift for a new mom or a mom going through the terrible two’s!! I think we, as moms, sometimes get stressed with all that we have going on. We don’t realize that we are the Queens of multitasking. Add this book to a baby shower gift, new mom gift, or as a Mother’s Day gift. I bet all moms out there will enjoy reading this book and all the inspiring stories.
