Did you know that nearly 16 million children in the U.S. have no idea where their next meal is coming from? That is just astonishing to me. I can’t even imagine being a parent that has to look at their child, see that they are hungry, and know that there is nothing you can do about it. That has to be heartbreaking to a parent. You can help end child hunger.
Children who experience struggles with hunger, no matter how intermittent it may be, may suffer serious consequences to their health, their well-being, and their educational achievement. Thankfully, ConAgra Foods finds this to be EXTREMELY unacceptable so they teamed up with P&G. Together they will create a community of people to help donate up to 7 million meals through the Child Hunger Ends Here Campaign.

So how can you help? You can make a difference buy purchasing a qualifying ConAgra or a P&G (just look for the red pushpin). Once you have your product you will see an eight digit code that you can enter at www.ChildHungerEndsHere.com from March to August 2014. ConAgra Foods or P&G will donate the monetary equivalent of one meal to Feeding America.
I don’t know if you have a Meijer near you, but ConAgra is donating 50,000 meals to community food banks on behalf of Meijer. This is to thank them for their partnership to end child hunger! Check out the following sales at Meijer:

My family loves many ConAgra foods! Since summer is quickly approaching, I will be stocking my freezer full of Hebrew National hot dogs! I could have a BBQ every night of the week during the summer and grilled hot dogs are one of my favorite things! My son, on the other hand, would fill my shopping cart full of Slim Jim’s, if I let him! Right now he’s playing Lacrosse and he grabs a Slim Jim as soon as he gets home from school before his practice or game. I know we will be purchasing a lot of ConAgra Foods and entering the eight digit code.
