The first picture was taken shortly after lighting the candle. I didn’t think anything of it at first, but when I got up an hour later to get a drink and I saw that it was burning straight down the center, I realized very quickly that it was not normal. I was not OK with this. It was totally wasting my candle by burning this way. Funny enough, none of my other candles burned like this. Thankfully, though, it is very easy to fix a tunneling candle!
How to Fix a Tunneling Candle
Take a piece of foil and wrap the top of the candle. Make sure to leave a small opening at the top or the candle will go out. Trust me…I put my candle out so many times. It drove me crazy! But be careful while you do this…you could burn yourself. I did…multiple times!
Let the candle burn for a little bit. In about 10 minutes or so, your candle will be fixed and you will no longer have to deal with a tunneling candle! Nifty trick, right?!?
With Mother’s Day coming, pick up one of these candles with a piece of jewelry inside! Two gifts in one! Plus, the surprise of waiting and seeing what is inside the candle is so much fun! The mom in your life would truly love this gift! If anyone wants to pick me up one…please do!
