Shopping for a little girl sounds like a lot of fun and it is…until that little girl moves out of the toddler section and into the girls department. It was a true shock to see some of the clothing that is marketed to little girls. My daughter is not your bean pole skinny kid. She’s athletic built and curvy. So ultra low-rise jeans do not fit her. She can put them on, but if I wanted her bum covered, well…that’s another story.
Finding Clothes Saga
Last year we went through EVERY single store in my area trying to find jeans that fit her appropriately. It was heartbreaking to watch my daughter try on a pair of jeans and see the look on her face when she realized they weren’t going to work. She’s only 8 years old…buying jeans for a kid should not be that hard. And thankfully, now it’s not. OshKosh B’gosh not only knows how to make fashionable clothes for our kids, but they fit appropriately and they are durable. What more can you ask for?!?

The OshKosh B’gosh store was very neat and tidy. Even the clearance racks! It made shopping and looking for Bella’s sizes easy so more time could be spent in the dressing room with her dancing in front of the mirror trying on the clothes! I told Bella to pick out whatever she wanted and showed her how to grab the size we thought she was and then the size above that, just in case (who wants to have to keep going back and forth for sizes??).
Bella LOVES this shirt (despite the look on her face…I swear, I tell her to smile and to her it means “make a goofy face”)! Not only was this shirt totally relevant and something a lot of girls her age are wearing but the colors are nice, the glitter is always a plus to Bella, and it was on sale for $6. I know, right? We did go up a size in this so that it was long enough. The sleeves are a bit long, but one little roll and they are good to go!
This is Bella’s Thanksgiving outfit! You might not be able to tell in the picture, but the shirt has gold glitter specks (Bella loves glitter). She likes that she looks nice, but is also super comfortable. She is totally my daughter! Comfort above all!

What I Like About OshKosh B’gosh
I really like that OshKosh clothes are meant to last. My daughter is constantly on her hands and knees. Other jeans get worn out quickly. However, not the OshKosh jeans. I also like that the clothes fit her the way clothes SHOULD be fitting kids. She can sit down on the floor at school without her underwear showing. Finally, I like their prices. We happened to go to the store when the ENTIRE store was 50% off and the clearance was an additional 25% off!! I added up all of the price tags and they came to over $335. I paid $109!! Can’t beat that!

I love that shirt that has the tie. My daughters would love the jean jacket and dress they have displayed in the commercial photo. Love the Osh Kosh line but surprisingly I haven’t bought much from it as they don’t have a place near me.
