I’m a fan of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. They are light reading and not something you have to read cover to cover in one sitting, though I have been known to do that! I feel like each book has a little something for everyone, and this latest book I am reading, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Touched by an Angel definitely has something for everyone!

Chicken Soup for the Soul

Once I received the book, I immediately went to the table of contents to see the different chapters and stories I can read. The book is broken up into the following chapters:

  • Messages from Heaven
  • A Gift from an Angel
  • An Auspicious Visitor
  • Miracles Happen
  • My Guardian Angel
  • Divine Messengers
  • Miraculous Healing
  • Answered Prayers
  • Divine Intervention
  • Renewing my Faith

Gabrielle Bernstein did the forward and I really like what she had to say in the last paragraph:

Let this book help you find power when you feel powerless. Use it as a catalyst for creating more flow, synchronicity and ease in every area of your life. As you turn each page, remember that you are never alone. Remember that you are always Touched by an Angel.

What I liked about this book is that certain stories really got you thinking about your own beliefs about life and death and in some way, provided a bit of peace, as well. I especially like the story called A Voice in the Night. I think this particular story is one that anyone, regardless of your beliefs, could relate to. How many times have you had this feeling or this voice telling you to do something that you KNEW you had already done, but you do it anyway and end up finding something else out, potentially dangerous, that you hadn’t done. Something like turning off the stove or the fireplace or something like that? That is what this story is about.

This book would make a great gift.

Who would you give this book to?
