I think special occasions or events need to be celebrated. Some of the things we celebrate are:
- Good grades on a test
- Good grades on a report card
- Having a good game (soccer, lacrosse or football)
Or we just celebrate life. Sometimes we just need to celebrate the fact that the house is still standing, mommy is still (somewhat) sane, or we just celebrate to celebrate. I also think that there is not right or wrong way to celebrate…do whatever works for your family. At our house, we have movie nights, family game nights or we pick up donuts for breakfast. Zack and Bella get really excited when we have donuts. Bella usually tries to choose the largest donut she can, while Zack always gets a jelly filled donut! Always.
