There have been so many studies that kids who play instruments do better in school. Especially when it comes to math. When I was a kid, I really wanted to learn how to play the piano. I even asked my mom to get me a keyboard for Christmas one year. My daughter actually has that keyboard now and she is trying to teach herself how to play. If there’s anyone that can teach themselves to play an instrument, it’s Bella! She is one determined child! She now wants to play guitars!

If I could go back in time and change a couple things, I would go back to when my kids were about 3 years old and introduce them to an instrument. I kind of regret not starting the kids in some sort of music lessons. But it was one of those things where they didn’t ask and since I didn’t grow up playing an instrument, I just didn’t think about it.
MagicForest has a line of adorable musical instruments for kids 2 years and up. They were very kind to send me a guitar for this years holiday gift guide! I opted for the Punk Rock Princess Pink acoustic guitar. You can purchase this great toy HERE!
MagicForest has eight all wood painted guitars for kids to choose from. The guitars are smaller in size and designed for small hands. Not only will your little one have fun making music, but they will also strengthen their fine motor skills! Each of the guitars measures 20 1/2-inches talk by 7-inches wide.
If guitars are not your child’s interest, MagicForest also has these two great sets to choose from:
- Instrument Set – comes with a tambourine, a pair of maracas, castanets, a triangle and a hand rattle.
- Rhythm & Sound Set – comes with a rain stick, xylophone, a handheld castanet, and a guiro.
As I was searching a flash drive for something, I ran across this video of my kids when my daughter was two and my son was four…
