One of my favorite things to do (and something my kids enjoy doing too) is have the opportunity to test drive a bunch of different cars. My kids enjoy this, as well. In fact, as soon as they get into each car, they start looking around and tell me all the things about that car that they like (and think is better than the car I have) or they tell me what they don’t like. Every time! Last week I had the chance to test drive the 2016 Kia Optima SX Turbo for a week and I have to tell you…I did NOT want to give the car back. This usually happens with me and Kia’s. I just like their cars that much!

Kia Optima Review
As a mom that spends A LOT of time in the car, the one thing I want to make sure of when I am picking a car is that it is comfortable. This Kia Optima SX Turbo is more than comfortable! It is extremely roomy, which is also a plus. I pick my son up from school and in order to make sure I get a parking space that I can drive right out of (those middle school kids run all over that parking lot), I have to get there about 40 minutes early. To tell you how roomy this car is, I was able to sit with both legs folded under me, no problem! So…if you are like me and you spend hours a week sitting in your car at various sport practices or driving a lot for work, you will love the Kia Optima SX. Very very comfortable!
Another thing I need is trunk space. My son plays lacrosse. His bag is HUGE. The trunk on this car is very large. I was able to go grocery shopping and have his lacrosse bag in the trunk and have room to spare. The nice thing is, having a large trunk did not take away from the space in the backseat. Even with my 6’2″ husband sitting in the passenger seat with the seat back pretty far, my kids had plenty of leg room. And trust me…they would tell me if they didn’t! They take this car reviewing very seriously!

The last one may seem a bit silly, but until you’ve experienced a car with interior LED lights…it’s pretty great!
If you are in the market for a car, you really need to check your local Kia dealership and see if there are any Kia Optima deals going on and what the current Kia Optima pricing is. For the car I drove, it had a total manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $33,215.
