Discount Glasses and Contacts – How to Save Money

When I received a note from my daughters school letting me know that she did not pass the state mandated eye exam, I kind of freaked out. She was only in Kindergarten at the time and all I kept thinking was, “I don’t want her made fun of like I was“. You see, when I got glasses, I was in 4th grade and barely anyone had glasses. I heard things like, “hey four eyes” or “you look like a teacher now“, all the time. It was so embarrassing. Oh…and, did I mention, when I was in 4th grade, it was 1989? You can imagine what my glasses looked like! Besides freaking out about how others would treat her, I couldn’t help but think about the cost. Three of us in glasses and/or contacts now? Thankfully there are sites where you can get discount glasses and contacts.

Discount Glasses and Contacts?

You read that right! Saving money on glasses and contacts is extremely important. Especially with kids. As active as my daughter is, things happen on recess and glasses get broken or contacts blow out of your eyes (that actually happened to me in 7th grade…not even joking). So buying discount glasses and contacts make those accidents less of a problem and easier for you to purchase a new pair.

About Discount Glasses

Not only are the glasses at Discount Glasses the lowest price on eyeglasses guaranteed, but every order includes free prescription lenses! There are upgrades you can add to your order like Transition lenses, prescription sunglasses, and more. Other crazy good perks of buying your eyeglasses at Discount Glasses are:

  • Frames start as low as $29 per complete pair
  • Free shipping on ANY size order
  • 365 day return policy

I remember when we got my daughter her first pair of glasses. We opted to add Transition lenses to her glasses. Thankfully we had vision insurance at the time. When it was all said and done, the total for her order was over $349. Like I said, I was very thankful that we had vision insurance. I couldn’t imagine paying that kind of money to put glasses on a 5 year old. Now that there are three of us in the house wearing glasses, saving money with Discount Glasses is top priority!

About Discount Contact Lenses

Like most people that wear glasses, I also wear contact lenses. Eventually, one day, my daughter will want to wear contacts too. Thankfully, there is a discount contact lenses site! I am all about saving money where I can, especially on things I throw away! Just like Discount Glasses, Discount Contact Lenses has the lowest prices on contact lenses guaranteed. That includes a price match policy! Other perks include:

  • Free shipping on orders over $99 (overnight shipping available too)
  • All orders place on the mobile app gets 10% off (iTunes and Google Play)

If you would like to place an order, be sure to use the coupon code BLOGDCLDG10. It saves you 10% off any order! Offer expires 5/31/2017.

Isn’t she cute?!? This is my daughter, 5 years ago with her first pair of glasses! She will be getting a new prescription in a week. I can’t wait to show her this adorable pair! And I will be taking advantage of that coupon code above!

I hate that contact lens manufacturers started price controls recently. We’re actually paying more now than ever!

No one in my family wears glasses, as of yet. This looks like a great alternative if we ever have to go that route.

Extra glasses and prescription sunglasses are a must! I love how easy they make it to get discounted eyewear. I need to get another pair of sunglasses for summer so I’ll have to check out their site.
