Can you believe that January is close to being over? How crazy is that? I feel like it was just Christmas a week ago. Yet, here we are, quickly moving into February. We don’t celebrate Valentines day all the time. Usually my husband is out of town, which is fine. This year my husband, daughter and I will be in Orlando for a soccer tournament over Valentines day. Despite not always celebrating, I do like to look at (and sometimes buy) my husband a gift. These are the top Valentines day gifts for husbands.

To Valentine’s Day or not to Valentine’s Day
Early on in our marriage, I was so hung up on wanting to celebrate Valentine’s day. Actually, I don’t know if it was so much that I wanted to celebrate it or if I felt like I had to celebrate it. Thankfully I got over that! I can’t tell you now many times my husband is out of town for work on Valentine’s day. Though, I will say, there was one Valentine’s day that he was out of town about three or four hours away and he surprised me! He knew I was taking the kids to our local Coney Island. He showed up with flowers and ate dinner with us! It was so sweet!

If you do decide to celebrate, my biggest piece of advice, don’t set your expectations too high. I know that may sound silly, but I think sometimes we get ourselves all worked up about how we think things should be, and then we are let down when they don’t happen exactly like that. Lately, we have been doing a lot of date nights in and I’ve really liked that. I don’t know about you, but the week is long sometimes. The idea of staying in and wearing your pjs is way too tempting!
Valentines Day Gifts for Husbands
To me, Valentines day gifts should be cutesy and lovey dovey. I also don’t spend a lot of Valentines day gifts. Birthday’s, Christmas, and anniversary’s are where I like to buy the big gifts. Here are some cute Valentines day gifts for husbands…
Beard Grooming Kit
This is definitely something my husband would love! Now that he wears a beard, he is forever trying out different beard products to see what he likes (and let’s be honest, what I like too). This beard kit is a great gift idea.
Novelty Socks
These “Do Not Disturb, I’m Gaming Socks” are great Valentines day gifts for husbands. I don’t know about your husband, but mine loves to play video games. In fact, we used to play video games together all the time. I think he would really find these socks funny.
Valentines Day Wallet Card
Out of all the Valentines day gifts for husbands I have listed here, this is probably my favorite. Since my husband travels so much for work, I think this wallet card is cute to have in his wallet. He knows I love him, but to have a constant reminder every time he opens his wallet, I bet it will make him smile.
Toilet Timer
Toilet Timer by Katamco (Classic)
OK, this gift idea made me laugh. I don’t know what it is about men and the toilet, but they are in there forever. Maybe one of these toilet timers will help them focus on how long they are going. At any rate, whether I decide to pick this up for Valentine’s day, I will be getting it at some point for my husband! Maybe even for my son too!
