We eat a lot of chicken in our house. During this time at home, I have cooked more than I’ve probably ever cooked before. Not even kidding! I’ve also gotten really good at piecing together meals from ingredients I have on hand. The other night I knew I wanted to do something with the feta cheese I had (I just love feta). I threw together this oven baked Greek chicken and it was delicious! Definitely will be making this again.

Greek Chicken - Oven Baked
Delicious recipe for Greek chicken that is quick and easy to throw together!
Ingredients
- 5 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 1 Lemon juiced (about 3 TBSP)
- 1 Med Onion sliced
- 1/4 Cup Feta crumbled
- 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 400°. Spray the baking dish with cooking spray.
-
Slice your onion and place the onion on the bottom the baking dish. Put the chicken breasts on top of the onion slices.
-
Juice your lemon and pour the juice over top of the chicken.
-
Mix the black pepper and oregano in a bowl and sprinkle it over each of the chicken breasts. Next take your crumbled feta cheese and sprinkle that over the chicken.
-
Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes (longer if the chicken breasts are thicker). Be sure to check that the internal temperature is 165°.
Greek Chicken
This Greek chicken was delicious! Not the prettiest thing to take a picture of, but there are so many foods that just don’t look pretty in a picture. And that’s OK! The taste is all that really matters! Both kids gobbled this up, which I will also call a win. When it comes to baking time, please please take into account the size of your chicken breasts. It will definitely take longer if they are thicker. Always check with a food thermometer. I like this food thermometer.
My favorite part about this dish…the feta! I would put feta cheese on everything, if I could!
Is it Weight Watchers Friendly?
So, as you know (well, you would know if you have been following me for a bit), my husband and I are doing the Weight Watchers plan. Currently we are on the Blue Plan. This Greek chicken recipe is perfect for those of you that are following the plan! One serving of this delicious meal is only 1 point! Knowing that, I will probably add a little more feta cheese next time, since that is my favorite part!
