Quarantine. Prior to March of 2020, that was really only a word I heard on one of the many hospital tv shows I watched. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think we would have to quarantine ourselves. Likewise, I didn’t think I would have to go hunting every day for things like toilet paper, paper towel, and Clorox wipes. However, that is exactly how the last nine months have been. Despite all of that, quarantine shopping was probably some of the best shopping I ever did!

Quarantine Shopping
Early on during quarantine, I felt like all I did was search the stores for food and toilet paper. I don’t ever want to see the grocery stores as empty as they were. It was pretty unnerving. Unfortunately, we are well into the second wave of this mess and people are panic buying again. Once we got a nice amount of toilet paper and paper towel, I started online quarantine shopping. I got some pretty great items.

For the Hair
My hair is the kind of hair that you need to blow dry and then flat iron to make it look nice. It’s annoying and not the greatest for my hair. I am always looking for ways to get out of using the flat iron. For awhile now, I have seen ads for a blow dryer brush. Typically I ignore those ads. However, one day I decided to use an Amazon gift card I had and purchase one. The way I saw it, that gift card had been sitting there for quite awhile. There wasn’t really anything I wanted, so I went for it.

The Revlon hair dryer brush is AMAZING! Literally smooths and drys my hair, all at the same time. I was a little skeptical about the quick drying spray, but again, that was foolish of me! The Bed Head Ego Boost is a product that I have been using for years. It’s my favorite thing to put on my ends before drying my hair.
Exercise Equipment
When it became apparent that we were not going to get out of quarantine any time soon, our quarantine shopping stepped up a notch. Gyms were closed and with all the quarantine baking I was doing, we needed a way to exercise. However, everyone and their brother had the same idea to purchase things for an at home gym. Since having knee surgery, I am limited on the types of cardio I could do. A rowing machine was something I’ve always wanted and it’s also really good for my knee. After researching the best machine to purchase, all we could do was put ourselves on the waiting list. Finally, months and months later, we were able to get our rowing machine at the beginning of November!

The Best Quarantine Purchase of All
A Covid puppy!! Our daughter started talking to us about a puppy in March. We initially said no. However, in August we were putting a deposit on a goldendoodle puppy. This little puppy is like having a newborn in the house again, but I wouldn’t change it. I wish we could have gotten her sooner in quarantine. She is definitely super fun and great to have around when you are starting to feel closed in your house.
