Unless you have been living under a rock, then you are well aware of the Coronavirus. If you have kids, you know that they are out of school for the next 2-3 weeks (or longer, in some cases). Finding things to do to keep your kids occupied during this time can be difficult. My kids are teenagers, so they sleep a lot and play video games or watch TikTok videos, but even then, they start to get bored. Here are some Coronavirus Quarantine activities for kids and families.

Coronavirus Quarantine Activities
We are currently on day three of our “stay home and only go out if need be” quarantine. No one is sick in our house, but it is my understanding that the more we can stay home, the better we can contain this virus. I don’t know about you, but when I heard our governor announce that schools would be closed for the next three weeks, I slightly panicked. Three weeks takes us into my daughters spring break, which means potentially four weeks off (I say potentially because they may move spring break to one of the quarantine weeks). That is a lot of time off from school. Lots of time to get lazy with schoolwork and lots of time that we may possibly need to make up in the summer. Our kids already get out of school mid-June.

Free Printable Activities
I don’t know about you, but FREE activities are sometimes the best activities! The following are free printable activities you can do during your coronavirus quarantine. If there are any things I recommend using with the printables, I will be sure to have the Amazon information at the bottom for you to quickly order and have it delivered to your door!
- Easter will be here before we know it. Get a jumpstart on the Easter activities with this free Easter placemat printable for kids. Simply print it out, use these laminating Sheets to laminate it and give your kids a dry erase marker. They can reuse the activities on the placemat as many times as they would like!
- March is reading month! Take this time to challenge yourself and your kids to a little reading fun! Print out one of these free reading log printables for each person and spend a particular amount of time each day reading. As you finish reading, write down the name of the book and author.
- Right now, everything is high stress. We are uncertain about how this is all going to turn out. It seems like more and more people are infected daily, as well as more and more businesses closing down each day. Take the time to use this happiness printable to make a happiness jar. Train yourselves and your kids to focus on the happy, positive things in life. At the end of the day or week, pull out the slips and read them together!
- We may be stuck in our homes right now, but one day we will get to think about traveling again. Have a family roundtable and brainstorm a fun travel bucket list with this free printable. Use a self laminating sheet and a sharpie to check off trips as you get to take them (once the Coronavirus is over with).
Supplies Needed for the Above Activities
Technically, the only thing you really need for any of these free printables, is a printer to print them. However, there are a few things I recommend that will make the printables last longer that I have linked to below. Most are on sale!
