Are you like me and have an overly cluttered house? I can’t stand it. There are days I call my husband (and it always seems to be the time when he is away on business) and I am near tears because I don’t know where to put all our crap. So I told him I was going to donate it, sell it or throw it away. You see, my husband is kind of a pack rat. He’d kill me for saying that, but it’s true. And my children are becoming pack rats just like him. So when I was browsing Facebook and I came across a site a friend shared about doing a 40 Bags in 40 Days challenge over at the White House Black Shutters blog, I knew I was in!
The idea behind this entire challenge is that during the 40 days of Lent, we will be decluttering our house, one bag at a time. I am not planning on focusing solely on the amount of bags I fill out or the size of the bag, but I want to go room by room and declutter. Honestly, I would love to rent a dumpster and just dump my house. But something tells me the kids and the hubby will not take to that idea all that well!

I’m really excited to take on this challenge and share with you all the awesome transformation that will be coming in our home! After I declutter, I want to start painting different rooms. Will you be joining me?!?

Am I the only one that finds it funny they want you to declutter but are giving away free stuff!? Cause doesn’t that defeat the point of decluttering?
Just kidding. I totally need to do this and may have to join in today.

I don’t know what is being given away…it could be organizational tools!
