I was looking at pictures the other day and the one thing I noticed in every single one is that my face is ALWAYS red. And if I start drinking alcohol, I could stop traffic with how red my cheeks are. Drives me crazy. Sure I can cover it up with a lot of makeup, but the red always manages to peek through. Plus, who likes to walk around with a lot of makeup caked on their face??? Keep on reading for a terrific Rosacea treatment!

*I’m participating in the Break Up with Your Makeup contest sponsored by Galderma Laboratories, L.P.

Here’s a picture showing how red my face is sometimes…and no I hadn’t had a single drop of alcohol…

What is Rosacea?

Rosacea is a treatable, chronic inflammatory skin condition that is often characterized by flare-ups and remissions. You tend to have redness on the chin, cheeks, nose and/or the forehead. There is no cure, but there is treatment that can control the signs and symptoms of Rosacea.

Rosacea Treatment Option

Miravaso® is the only FDA-approved treatment for the persistent facial redness of Rosacea. It works fast, providing same-day results that last up to 12 hours before the redness returns.

I worry most about my skin being red when I am out in public in the winter. This is when it seems to flare the most.

I once knew someone with rosacea. She couldn’t drink alcohol either, or otherwise it would cause a major flare-up! I recently broke up with some make-up for different reasons – adult acne – UGH!

Thanks for sharing this. I sugger from Rosacea and I have been meaning to ask about treatment rather than just keep covering it up.

I worry about the redness most always. I have lived with rosacea for many years. There are the obvious triggers like alcohol and allergens, but sometimes it seems to flare up for no reason at all.

I’ve heard great things of Cetaphil from a couple women who deal with rosacea. They are very careful about what they put on their face, from facewash to sunscreen to makeup.

That’s a nice long time to expect coverage – 12 hours. I didn’t realize it was so difficult to deal with. 🙁
