When it comes to practicing math facts, my daughter wants no part in it. Quite honestly, I can’t blame her. It’s boring to sit there with a pile of flashcards, flipping on over at a time to test yourself. I remember, as a kid, my parents bought us a math game that could be played on our little Apple IIGS computer we had growing up (yay for the 80’s!) and we played that game all the time, all while practicing math! The same can be done now with Zap Zap Math, a great math app for kids that can be found on both Android and iOS operating systems!

About Zap Zap Math App for Kids

The top five things I like most about this app are:

  1. It’s perfect for children ages 4 through 12.
  2. Children are playing a high-quality game using the mobile app that is available for both iOs and Android.
  3. The games advance as your child does. It trains critical thinking, logic and problem-solving.
  4. Both parents and/or teachers can track a child’s performance in the online dashboard.
  5. It is ad free.

As a parent, I can’t tell you how much I love that this app is ad free. I’d love to believe that all ads our kids come across, whether it be on a mobile device, the computer or television, are totally appropriate, but you know as well as I do, they are not. So having an ad free option for them is fabulous!

Downloading this app for your kids, whether you do so for the iPad, your Android device or the Kindle Firemath app for kids (great for kids and inexpensive), you can take the “how to make math fun for kids” right out of the equation. They will enjoy playing with Zap Zap Math! I’ve tried out a lot of different educational games for kids and I have to say, this is, by far, the best educational math games for kids out there! Not only are they learning, but they are competing too (which is a huge plus for my daughter…she’s fiercely competitive). In the upper right hand corner of the game, there is a world high score that you can strive to beat. What kid wouldn’t want to see THEIR high score there?!?

If you are looking for math apps for kids, you can stop! Just download Zap Zap Math, set up the parent component on the website and send your kids off to play. I would be willing to bet you won’t have to argue with them to practice their math facts (or time, fractions, geometry, etc) again!
