Are your Kids Picky Eaters? GIVEAWAY!

My kids are not your typical “picky eaters”.  They eat things other kids wouldn’t ever dream of eating.  For example, my son likes Kibbeh Nayye which is raw lamb.  My husband is Lebanese and like he says, he grew up eating it for baby food.  Now while I made him wait until the kids were older to feed it to them, they’ve both had it and liked it.  Though they have no clue what it is!

So while they will eat raw lamb, sometimes something as simple as a sandwich, they fight me on.  But one of the things I make sure I always have in my house is Tyson’s Chicken Nuggets.  They are 100% all natural and really really good!  And right now, the only way I can get my daughter to eat chicken is if it is in the shape of a nugget.  While I would love to say I am “that mom” who can make a chicken breast look like the tasty nuggets you can buy from Tyson…but I’m not.  I’m sure I could make my nuggets look perfect like their nuggets, but why reinvent the wheel?

What about you?  Are your kids picky eaters?  What do you do to get them to eat?

Leave me a comment telling me how you get your picky eaters to eat or idea you have for how to get them to eat and I will randomly draw 4 numbers (using random.org) and you will win a coupon for a FREE bag of Tyson Chicken Nuggets!

You can enter as many times as you want.  You have to give me a tip for your entry to be valid.  This contest will run until September 20th with winners announced on September 21st!

Thanks to Tyson for supplying the coupons for this giveaway and giving me a free bag of chicken nuggets!  My opinion of Tyson and how yummy their nuggets taste is solely mine.  You may have a different opinion, but I’m betting you are a vegetarian and that’s why cause they’re good! 😉

I've taken to letting them dip their food in whatever they want, as long as it doesn't gross me out, lol!
My son loves Ranch dressing, ketchup and honey. And my daughter is good with Ranch, and will douse potatoes of any kind in ketchup, but only those 2 dips!

I love to make food appealing to them. I make tiny turkey meatballs, stick a pretzel rod in them and have little bwols of different dipping sauces like marinara, honey mustard,BBQ sauce.

My children would not eat peas cooked but he funny thing is they will eat them frozen by the handfuls. I also freeze blueberries and raspberries. I will put them in their glasses of water or they will eat by themselves.

My kids will eat anything! When my son was about 10 he ordered a chicken liver dinner with okra and cottage cheese and the waitress laughed – she thought he was kidding.

I am planning to disguise healthy veggies in the form of purees into my child's macaroni & cheese and mashed potatoes when he is old enough to eat these foods & refuse veggies! A litle pureed squash in the mac & cheese & pureed cauliflower in the potatoes and he won't know a thing!

I get the children to eat their fruit by making little bowls of dipping sauces, yogurt, dark chocolate and peanut butter.

Another way I get my daughter to eat new foods is by making it into fun shapes!
Whether it be a sandwich cut into a heart, or carrot squiggles, if it looks neat, she is willing to try it!

My kids also like stew, so I cook lots of veggies with chicken stew and they love it.
