Becoming a parent was obviously great! I love my children…I love doing things for them (most of the time!)…and I love volunteering in their schools. But one of the things that I didn’t realize I would love so much is becoming an Auntie! You see, my husband and I are done having children. I never had really great pregnancies (and it always boggled my mind when someone actually said that they loved being pregnant) and since we were lucky enough to get one of each sex in the first 2 pregnancies, we figured…why keep going? Not to mention, kids are crazy expensive and they take a lot of time. I wanted to make sure that I was able to give both kids everything they needed and wanted…with more than two…I knew that probably would be very difficult. So for us, two it is.

But, like I said, becoming an Auntie is awesome! I get my baby fix, smell that wonderful baby smell, cuddle with the baby, but the baby goes home at the end of the day! And believe me, when my little nephew was born, I was right there waiting and ready to hold him immediately (and I went back the next day too)!! He is so tiny and cute…though I have to say…he has old man knees! Such wrinkly knees! I love it! Before long he will be running around in his boys trainers with my kids and having a great time.
