Product Review…Bella Sara Cards and Site

I just spent, thanks to Team Mom, the past hour playing around on the Bella Sara website (you can go to the site here). I’ve never heard of Bella Sara, but then again my kids are only 2 and 4, but boy did I have fun on the site!

Bella Sara is a trading card game that has a very nice online world to go along with the cards. Basically, you purchase a pack of cards and on the bottom of each card is a code. You head to the Bella Sara website and enter the code and you unlock the horse that is on each card. As you unlock your horses, you also are given horseshoes (money) that you are able to buy new items.

You are responsible for taking care of each of your horses. That means, feeding them, cleaning out their stalls, brushing them, and making them happy. After doing all that, you can head on over to the arena and play some games. That is where I spent most of my time. I really liked the cloud jumping game!!

Here is the really cool part. On November 6th, Bella Sara will be unveiling Baby Bella cards! In the Baby Bella card packs you could find, parent cards, foal cards, teacher cards, shiny horse cards, and/or regular toy cards. If you are able to collect all the members of a horse family, you are able to earn special rewards online.

So be sure to head over to on November 6th. They will be unveiling Bella’s new baby and there will be a 10 day party with daily gifts for members of the site. The Baby Bella cards will retail for $2.99 each (stocking stuffer alert!!!) and can be purchased at Target, Kmart, Borders, Blockbuster, Barnes & Noble, Justice for Girls, Toys “R” Us, and Wal-Mart.

It’s nice to see a toy out there that has such a positive message for young girls. That was one of my favorite things about these cards (besides having the horse I always wanted and not having to smell poo!)…each card had a nice positive message.

Alrighty, now I am going to go play with my horses some more!

He is just the sweetest thing in the world. I’ve wanted one for a long time but it never seemed like the right time. We’ve been going to the humane society quite a bit the past few days and we just fell in love with this guy.

He is a black lab and border collie mix (they are thinking border collie because of the wavy ears), 5 months old, and super super sweet! I can’t wait to bring him home. He is getting fixed tomorrow and can come home with me on Wednesday!!!!

Right now, me and the kids are trying to figure out what we are going to name him. Zack says Bonzo…not to sure on that one hahaha Zack has vetoed Oreo.

So leave me a comment if you have a good name. I’m sorry I don’t have a picture. There is one on my phone but I don’t know how to get it off my phone and onto my computer.

Such a good idea!

I just had to share this! I was reading a magazine today and they had some good “mommy tips”. The one that I really liked is the one I am about to share with you all.

Remember puffy paint…the stuff that was all the rage in the late 80s and early 90s? Well get that stuff out again! Instead of making t-shirts or posters, take your kids socks and put little dots of puffy paint on the bottoms. Let it dry and you have just made your own non slip socks!

The article did not say how well they hold up with washing and drying, but who cares. One tube of puffy paint will last for a LONG time!

That Mom…

I was that mom. Again. Today Zachary fell pretty bad and was screaming in pain and holding his foot. He couldn’t walk on it, couldn’t stand to have it touched, etc. I called my husband to see what he thought. Of course, he said “Take him to Urgent Care. If something is wrong with his foot, it needs to be fixed or he’ll have foot problems for the rest of his life”. So of course, I drive him to Urgent Care. Within 10 minutes of being there, that little stinker was jumping off of chairs. WTH?

So of course when I tell the registration lady that I am leaving, that my son is OK, she gives me the dirtiest look like I don’t know what I am talking about and how I am such a bad mom if I were to leave before we saw a doctor. Did I mention, he was jumping off the chairs? To make matters worse, when I took him out of there, he started yelling “but I want to see the doctor. My foot is broken. I want to have pictures take”…right so now I am getting those looks from the whole room.

Had we stayed, one of two things would have happened…one, the doctor would have looked at me like I was a complete idiot or two, my son would have been questioned like “honey, did anyone make you fall?” etc. And to make matters worse, this morning, on the way in to preschool, I accidentally tripped the poor kid. So I think we can all see how that conversation would have gone!

Anyway, the kid is fine. His foot doesn’t hurt and we were sure to take a picture of it when we got home to make him happy!
