Easter Baskets

It’s that time of year again to start thinking about what we are going to stuff inside the Easter basket. I don’t know about you, but my kids don’t need ANYTHING. I told myself that I am not buying anything large for Easter or anything that they already have a billion of, like Matchbox cars. Instead, the following is going into their Easter baskets:

  • Chocolate covered animal crackers for each
  • Chocolate covered pretzel ballerina for Bella
  • Chocolate covered pretzel dump truck for Zack
  • Bottle of bubbles for each
  • Sidewalk chalk for each
  • Kid water bottle for each for summer

I especially like giving the kids fun things they can do outside. We do not need anymore toys inside this house.

So what are you putting in your kids Easter basket?

My kids are getting some candy because I got plastic eggs to put Hershey Kisses inside and hide. I think each boy is getting a couple small things like bubbles. The big one will get an action figure and a new baseball cap, and the little one is getting cars and a hat. I grabbed koosh balls from the Target $1 bin the other day.

I overheard one woman at the doctor’s office say she bought her daughter 2 DS games for her basket. I about fell over. I *maybe* spend the price of one DS game on each boy’s basket if that.

Like yours, my child does not need a THING. We’re doing candy, some sidewalk chalk, a couple of small books. Keeping it simple.

I’ve never seen chocolate covered animal crackers before, I’ll have to look for them.

Each of my kids is getting a small chocolate bunny, bubbles, a jump rope, and I’m not sure what else. I can’t believe it’s less than a week away, I’m so unprepared this year!

I have gotten them each a new pack of crayons, pad of construction paper, glue sticks, and glitter glue…THAT is it!! No Candy!! Maybe I will but little bags of carrots in their baskets!!
