My 4 day freedom trip, that is! Thursday morning at 9am, I will be on my way to Chicago. No kids; no husband; no responsibilities; nothing for 4 days straight! I can’t wait! Why am I going to Chicago? I am going to the Creative Memories convention. I can’t wait!!!
Now you might be wondering who is watching the kids…and THIS is just another reason why I can’t wait to go. Dan is taking Thursday and Friday off work. He is spending 4 days, 24 hours a day STRAIGHT with the kids. He will FINALLY see what it is like. He will finally be able to appreciate why there are days that I just want to pull my hair out. Now don’t get me wrong, I love be a stay at home mom, but lets face it…we all need our time alone. Alone and away from it all.
The one thing Dan does not understand is why I choose to go grocery shopping alone. Well…in a couple days, he will find out! Our last roll of toilet paper was opened today; we are all out of bread; milk will be gone by Thursday; and guess what people…I’m not going grocery shopping tomorrow. I have a whole slew of creative meals planned for tomorrow. So no bread…not a problem. Hehe so you know what that means…Dan AND the kids will need to go grocery shopping while I am gone!! Can’t wait!
Not only will I be totally rested and re-energized after my trip away, but I think there will be a whole new sense of appreciation for why I do the things the way I do, when I get back!
