Weird and Scary Thing Happened Last Night

Last night I was driving home from a night out with some friends when I noticed a car was following me.  Every time I turned, this car turned.  At first I was thinking it was just a coincidence, but I couldn’t help thinking the person was gonna kill me.  Kind of like that scene in Urban Legends where you flash your lights at an oncoming car because their lights our off and they turn around, follow you, and kill you.  And then the scene where you’re driving and the car behind you follows you flashing their brights at you so you will see the person in your backseat with a knife ready to kill you.  It was totally raining outside…the scene was set.  Only there was no one in my car.  I checked!

So I turn into a subdivision where I grew up, since I knew all the side streets, and began making turns all over.  This darn car did the same thing.  By this time I was about to puke I was so nervous.  Of course I tried calling my husband…his phone was off.  Figures.   So I did the next best thing,..I texted a friend.  I figured someone had to know I was about to die.  Like I good friend, she immediately called me and we talked a bit and then I got this genius idea…what if I drove to the police station.  Surely this person couldn’t possibly be stupid enough to kill me in the police parking lot.  So that’s exactly what I did.  As soon as I turned into the parking lot, they continued straight.  I was safe!

Maybe it was some stupid teen playing a prank, thinking they were funny.  Maybe it was a serial killer who liked the backend of my car and decided that some hot chick just had to drive that car and was hoping I was stupid enough to pull over so he could kill me. Or maybe, just maybe, it was just a person driving aimlessly around and just so happened to need to make all the weird turns I did.  Who knows.  I’m just glad they sped off and didn’t turn into the parking lot…there is only one way out of this parking lot and they would have been blocking it with their car.  That would have sucked, for sure.
