My ME Time

Anyone that knows me and knows me well knows (man that’s a lot of knows haha)…anyway, they know that I desperately need “me” time every once in awhile.  If I don’t get it, I start to get short with everyone around me and basically I hate being around me too.

The people over at Sprint just started “Gaming on the Now Network“.  Basically, if you have 10 minutes of “free” (and yes I use that word loosely) time, you can log on to their network and play a few games.  I don’t know about you, but when I’m having a rough day or a sluggish day, playing a quick game online or on my phone can be the little brain boost I need!

However, if a time freeze fairy came by and said “hey Leah, would you like me to freeze time for just 10 minutes?” I would:

  • Read whatever I have on my Kindle at the moment (which if you don’t have a Kindle, definitely check it out…they’re awesome!)
  • Take a 10 minute power nap
  • Watch 10 minutes of a reality show (love celebrity gossip stuff!)

I know it’s tough for us moms (and dads) to get time to ourselves, but I think it is very important for us to make sure we take that time.  It makes us better parents, as well as better spouses to take that time.  Case in point, I’ve been a painting fool lately trying to remodel my house.  I haven’t been able to get online much (my “me” time in the evenings) and I have been very short with everyone around me.  So what did I do to remedy that short behavior with everyone?  Turned on my computer and took my 10 minutes of “me” time to type this post!  Now back to the painting!

Sprint has just launched Gaming on the Now Network™, bringing you the first wireless 4G network from a national carrier.  Sprint and JuiceBoxJungle have sponsored me to write about what “ten minutes” a day means to me.
