My 30th Birthday Hawaiian BASH!

I never really had a birthday party.  Well I take that back.  I had one when I was 11 and it was a disaster and pretty much has left a bad taste in my mouth about my birthday ever since.  Isn’t it bad that a birthday party SOOOOO many years ago can have that affect on someone?

My husband decided to change all that by throwing me a 30th birthday party!  He decided on the Hawaiian theme because he knew that I really wanted to have a Hawaiian Tiki party when I graduated from college, but when you are 9 months pregnant, a tiki party with virgin tiki drinks is just not that fun!  So fast forward 7 years and I finally got my tiki party!  Originally he was going to make it a surprise party, but he knew that would probably freak me out so he told me about the party, but kept everything else a surprise!

He enlisted the help of my wonderful mother in-law and boy oh boy did they go all out!  My mother in-law made the amazing food.  And there sure was a lot of it.  If anyone left that party hungry, it’s their own darn fault!  But better than the food, was the cake.  I am so proud to say that my husband made the cake HIMSELF!  Well I take that back…my mother in-law baked the cake, but he cut it into the shape he wanted it and frosted it and used fondant to decorate it.  Check it out…I think he did a great job!  Oh and yes…he was trying to be funny with the candles!

Aside from my wedding and the birth of my children, they was the BEST night of my life.  I had fun with all of my friends and family.  It truly was a very fun night.  HUGE thanks to my hubby and in-laws for making this night happen.
