We are about three weeks into the school year and it’s already crazy busy! With football practice three days a week, a husband that travels for work, and busy weekends…you can imagine how I am literally pulling my hair out at times. When I heard about the book Happier at Home, I knew I had to read it! The author, Gretchen Rubin writes: “Because I realized that of the many elements that influenced my happiness, my home — in all its aspects — was the most important, I decided to take some time to concentrate my efforts there.” There is so much truth in that statement.

My Thoughts on the Book
Now I read through this book pretty quickly. The stories that Gretchen Rubin puts into this book are very easy to relate to. However, now that the school year has officially started, I am going through each chapter a month at a time. I really don’t have a favorite chapter. Each one makes me stop and think about how I want things to be in my life, my family, my marriage and my home. Some of the goals are easy…things like breathing in a new smell, de-cluttering your life, etc.
