I am forever looking for an app for my daughter that will read to her and that she can follow along with. Everything I’ve found so far sounds so robotic…and well…I don’t want to listen to that so why would I expect her to want to!
When I was asked if I would like to review the Mibblio ipad app, I have to admit, I was a little hesitant. BUT I gave it a chance. Why not? It’s available in the Apple App Store FREE with one nibblet (a nibblet is an illustrated story-song). Oh and before I forget, I will also be given an apple itunes card to download more nibblet’s for my daughter! I can’t wait to let her choose some nibblet’s!
To start things out, for my free nibblet I chose On Top of Spaghetti!
I loved this book/song as a kid and I distinctly remember singing it over and over again in first grade every time we had spaghetti for dinner! I knew Bella would love this book. And she did!
The nice thing about Mibblio is that it allows children to read, sing, learn and play music all at the same time! This app is targeted for children ages 3-8 years old. Besides On Top of Spaghetti, you can also find great stories like:
- The Wheels on the Bus
- Monkey Jamboree
- The Mashed Potato Monster Gang
