Today, after my son’s flag football game (which he got a touchdown at!!!), my husband and I joined some friends at a local bar and just hung out.  Well…and drank, of course! After all, it was St Paddys day! I can’t tell you the last time we actually did something like this. Oh wait, yes I can…when we were in college…before kids! It was probably the most fun I’ve had in a very very long time!  I also found a new favorite drink.

Mikes-Hard-Mango-PunchI could have drank those things all night long! And quite honestly, I did!

St Paddys Day Bar Hopping

After hanging out at one bar, we decided to head to another. I was getting tired (I’m such a mom now!), but so glad we went. This next bar had a lot of St Paddys Day drama going on!  First, two guys fall off their chairs.  We’re talking, one minute they were sitting there and the next they fell off sideways.  I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at them.  Especially when I saw them laughing and their teeth were stained green!  The second thing that happened was a really drunk guy started to get a little out of hand and this big, bald, Jerry Springer bouncer look a-like picked him up and literally tossed him out the door.  I’ve never seen anything like that happen before!  And finally, two girls (and each of their entourage) got into one huge fight.  So much so, the police were called.  They were thrown out as well, but the fight continue outside and it ended with one girl pass out on the pavement.  I don’t know if she passed out from being drunk or if the fight turned physical.  Crazy night!

So here I sit, still a little tipsy from this evening, happy that I spent the evening with good friends!  Can’t wait to do it again!

What did you do for St Paddys Day?
