My La-Z-Boy Experience

Guess where I’m sitting…in my La-Z-Boy chair that we have had for a little over 10 years and it’s still kicking!  It’s the favorite chair in the house.  My husband likes to say that it was purchased for him, but the way I remember things is that I slept in this chair for five months while I was pregnant with Zachary…so by default, I think that makes it MY chair!  The other day I told you the exciting news that La-Z-Boy stores are coming back to Michigan and I got to visit the Sterling Heights location!

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that I was not attacked by multiple sales people at one time.  I actually really hate when I walk into a store and the sales people jump all over you or try to steal you away from other sales people.  It was refreshing to be able to walk in, take a quick look around the store to see which area I needed to go to first.  You know why the sales people don’t hover at the front door ready to pounce?  Because they don’t work on commission.  They actually HELP each other out too…

So many people think that La-Z-Boy has nothing but recliners, but that’s not true!  I was pleasantly surprised at all the gorgeous furniture they sell!  I really wish I could redo every room in my house.  Check out some of the great pieces of furniture I found:

 

My favorite is the gray chair with the pink and yellow at the top.  My husband…not as much of a fan of the girly chair.  I’m telling you, one day I will have that chair or a chair like it in my living room!  But we were there to look for chairs for our family room, the most lived in room in our house.  I really wanted two new recliners.  I sat in three chairs before finding the one I wanted.  Nothing else compared to it.  My husband, on the other hand, sat in EVERY chair in the place.  Thankfully we had an extremely understanding and patient (Adam…be sure to ask for Adam if you go into the Sterling Heights store…he was GREAT!).

One piece of advice, don’t take your kids with you to a furniture.  They will drive you crazy (or make you laugh like crazy) with the vibrating chairs:

Yes…he is laying ON HIS STOMACH on the vibrating chair.  He definitely had everyone laughing in the store!

What I found impressive is the warranty La-Z-Boy has for their products.  You’re going to want to pay close attention to the warranty card that comes with your furniture, but here are some of the parts that have a LIFETIME WARRANTY:

• Wood and Metal Base
