This past weekend was Bella’s 8th birthday. The one thing she wanted was to have a Ninja Turtle birthday cake. So I started searching around online for different cakes that I could have an idea of what to tell our “cake lady“, as my son calls her! She was very specific…she either wanted ALL 4 of them for her Ninja Turtle birthday cake or she wanted to just have Mikey. Mikey’s her favorite! After looking at hundreds of birthday cakes online, I finally sent a few pictures over. I was looking at having just a Mikey cake.

Our amazing “cake lady” has always made fabulous cakes. My favorite being the alligator cake she made Bella a few years ago. It not only looked amazing, but it tasted amazing too! So I knew that no matter what I sent her, it would turn out so good!

Here is our Mikey cake:

Bella’s eyes lit up when she saw her cake. It is EXACTLY what she wanted. But I had a surprise for her. She wouldn’t know what that surprise was until we cut into the cake…can you guess what that surprise is?!?

Best. Cake. Ever! I’m not even joking! While I loved the alligator cake I posted above, this Ninja Turtle Birthday cake tasted the best! I love the type of fondant she uses (I believe it’s a marshmallow fondant…I’m not a cake baker, so I could totally have that wrong), but this cake was all icing…my favorite part!
