Forgiveness is something I struggle with. I honestly think it’s my defense mechanism…a way to protect myself because I don’t want to be hurt like that again. But that’s not good. When you hold on to all that negativity in your heart, you start to become bitter. You start to have zero fun with anything you do. And let’s face it, no one wants to be around a negative, bitter person. So you can say that Chicken Soup for the Soul – The Power of Forgiveness really resonated with me.

When this book showed up on my doorstep, I’ll be honest…it was right after I may or may not have said, “UGH I hate them and will NOT forget about this”…a tad dramatic, sure…but like I said, I have issues there! So as you can see, it showed up at the right moment. And I have to say, this book is WAY better than listening to Let It Go from Frozen (if you don’t know what I’m talking about…go check out the Frozen Soundtrack).

Learn how to let things go with the Chicken Soup for the Soul – The Power of Forgiveness book. The book is broken up into the following chapters:

  • Lessons on forgiving fathers
  • Forgiveness between mothers and children
  • Learning to live with family-through-marriage
  • Patching up rifts with siblings
  • When bad things happen in love and marriage
  • Forgiving friends an colleagues
  • Lessons from the people you meet
  • When a crime has been committed
  • The importance of self-forgiveness

If you or someone you know struggles in this area, I recommend this book!
