My family and I live a VERY hectic lifestyle. With a husband that works in a different state most weeks, the daily schedule with the kids school and extracurricular activities falls solely on me. To say I am a crazy person most days would be fairly accurate! I rely heavily on my calendar and the one day that my calendar app was not loading properly, I thought I was going to lose my mind! It is pretty normal for us to be running from one activity to another, most nights of the week. There are some nights that I drop one child off at their activity, run the other child to their activity, and then run back to get the first child before having to turn around and race back to get the second child. All while fitting dinner and/or snacks in there so we don’t end up with hangry kids and a cranky mom! Thankfully there are delicious and very portable RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers options at Kroger for me to pick up each week! And who doesn’t love shopping at Kroger? I know I do! I really appreciate the people that properly bag my groceries. Not only do you save time in the store, but properly bagged groceries saves you time at home when you have to put them away!

hectic lifestyle tips

As you can imagine, with as hectic and busy as our lifestyle is, I’ve had to come up with a few ways to make things a little easier for me. So, without further ado, I present to you, My Hectic Lifestyle Tips!

Hectic Lifestyle Tips #1

Find snack options that are quick and easy to grab on the run. Whether you are grabbing it or having your child grab the snack, you want it to be something that literally takes five seconds or less. My favorite (and my daughters), are the RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers! You can purchase them in the lunchbox section of your local Kroger store. They are a nice option because they are individually wrapped and they come in both cheese and peanut butter filled cracker options! FYI – the cheese filled are very popular. You may have to ask, like I did, for the cheese filled and have an employee get it from the back!

Hectic Lifestyle Tips #2

I don’t know if you’re like me, but one thing that drives me absolutely crazy is when I see my kids wipe their hands on their clothes. I don’t have time to sit and scrub stains out of clothes that are purposely put there. So I take a few minutes a week to package up my RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers in easy and convenient little snack size grab bags. Each bag has the RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers and a wet napkin. I prefer the wet napkins overly regular napkins because while my kids are not allergic to peanut butter, I know others are and I want to try and make sure they thoroughly clean their hands after eating something with peanut butter, especially when they will be coming into contact with other kids at their sports. Plus, lets face it, the wet napkins clean their hands a whole lot better than a regular napkin! I store these little grab bags in a little bin in the pantry.

Pack your bag (with snacks) the day before. This past weekend my daughter had a basketball tournament. I had our bag packed the day before. It stresses me out, beyond belief, to forget something. I can’t tell you how many times, before we started packing the night before, that something was forgotten at home. Not anymore! Some things I always make sure I have with me are:

  • Snacks (like the RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers)
  • Extra wet wipes
  • Headache medication (usually for me!)
  • First Aid kit

Hectic Lifestyle Tips #4

Of course, there are those times when you completely forget to follow tips 1-3. When that happens, you will be very happy that you followed tip #4! The last thing I ever want to deal with is a hangry child. Especially my daughter. She gets evil, like me, when she’s hangry. For that very reason, I keep RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers in the middle console in my car. These little packages of deliciousness helps keep the hangry away when we are on the run and stopping for dinner is not an option at that time! Trust me…if you follow ANY of these hectic lifestyle tips, you will want to do this one!

If you are like me, you rely heavily on your phone calendar. However, with that being said, while I like being able to pull up my calendar at a moments notice, I am also pretty old school and keep a handwritten calendar on the fridge with the weeks schedule. I like it on the fridge because it’s right in front of my face every time I pass through the kitchen. Like my phone calendar, each person has their own color and when I write something on the calendar, I make sure to highlight it in that person’s color. Trust me…the highlighting is key! I prefer this this calendarhectic lifestyle tips.

So what do you think? Would these hectic lifestyle tips help you? What would you add to the list?

Leave a comment below with your tip and be sure to head out and pick up the RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers that are now available at your local Kroger store! There’s no need to be rushing around this busy holiday season with hangry kids! And who are we kidding, moms like the RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers too! You know you do!

I love how you package the crackers in small baggies with a wet wipe, it drives me nuts when the kids don’t finish a whole pack but don’t close it properly and they get stale and are wasted. Thanks for the great tips!

Great tips! I keep handy quick snacks in my handbag and in the car just for ‘hangry’ grandkids. I love your wet wipe idea. I’m definitely incorporating that in my snack bags.

I don’t know if you have a Kroger or Kroger banner store near you, but definitely check in the cracker aisle (usually with the peanut butter and jelly).

We have a busy schedule, too, and my husband works out of town, so I completely identify!! Thanks for the tips! It is so important to have good snacks on-hand for all the on-the-go time we have.

We always have Ritz (and other brand) snack packs handy for a grab-and-go snack. Especially when we travel!
