If there is one thing I look forward to at Christmas time (besides all the family time), it’s sugar cookies. They are one thing I will break any diet for. I just love them. I’ve been trying to find ways to lower my stress in my life, baking helps. So due to that, today I made these Christmas sugar cookies and they are amazing (if I don’t say so myself)! Above all, they have the right amount of crisp on the outside and super chewy on the inside. Added some festive M&M’s, and they are ready for the upcoming get togethers!

The Best Christmas Sugar Cookies
Delicious recipe for the best gluten free Christmas sugar cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cups Butter softened
- 3 Cups White Granulated Sugar
- 4 Large Eggs
- 3 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 5 Cups Gluten Free Flour
- 1 Large Bag Red and Green M&M's
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350° and prepare your baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
-
Add your room temperature butter to your mixing bowl with the white granulated sugar. Mix well.
-
Next add your eggs one at a time. Make sure you mix completely before adding the next egg. Now add your vanilla extract, baking powder and salt and mix well.
-
Add your wet mixture to a large mixing bowl with your flour and mix by hand. I find it easiest to put on a pair of gloves and mix with your hands. Once your flour is mixed in thoroughly, add your M&M's and mix well.
-
Take 2 tablespoons of cookie dough, roll in a ball and place on your baking sheet. Flatten just slightly. Bake for 8-10 minutes. You do not want your cookies to brown. Bake until the center is just set.
Recipe Notes
*Feel free to cut this recipe in half. I took a gluten free recipe of mine and doubled it because cut in half, it doesn't make very many cookies.
*If you aren't gluten free, just use your regular flour!
Best Christmas Sugar Cookies
Don’t these cookies look amazing?!? They are so good. Just the right amount of chewiness in the middle. If you want the cookies to be super chewy in the center, cook for eight or nine minutes. I cooked a batch at 10 minutes to see what would happen. While they were still chewy, I prefer them when I baked them at nine minutes. So definitely play with the time and see what works best for you.
