5 Things you would Learn about Me if you Walked Through my House!

A quick walk through my house and you can learn a lot about me. When I like something, I like it and I am not afraid to show it off. I read once that you shouldn’t hang family pictures all over your house. The reasoning was ridiculous. Hang the memories throughout your house and put out the things that make you smile.

Five Things About Me

First, I love camels. In fact, every room in my house has a camel of some sort in it. Even my bathrooms and my kids bedrooms (gotta love the IKEA stuffed came). Here are a few of my favorites:

Yes…the middle one sits on my front porch and greets our guests!

Second, I buy extra bananas and hide them from my family so I can make banana muffins every week. My kids love my banana muffins…try the recipe out and let me know what you think!

Just a little browner and they’ll be ready!

Third, football season has taken over our schedule. My car often smells like a locker room on the way home from practice. Go LIONS!

I have my very own life size bobble head. Fun fact about me, football scares me. I’m afraid my kid will get a head injury.

Taped to our basement door is a set of family rules. Mama’s taking back the house and that means I am not doing everything for everyone anymore. Each member of the household is responsible for cleaning up after themselves at the dinner table and putting their own folded (by me) laundry away.

Uh Oh…someone didn’t put their clothes away…

And finally, I love quotes. If I could hang a quote everywhere in my house, I would. I think they hold a lot of meaning. Here are a few of my favorites that I have hanging in my house:

How about You?

I’ve told you about me, now tell me about you! What are five things in your house that people can learn about you?

I think you are the first person I met that has camels in her house AND loves the Lions (kidding…Michigander here…we have to like the Lions by default, right??)

I am a total quote fanatic too. I also love the family rules! Our daughter has recently started cheer for our local football team…it is a lot more time, money and commitment than I was anticipating!…BUT she loves it.

I’ll have to check out your banana muffin recipe – I’m always searching for easy breakfast ideas and making up muffins and then putting them in the freezer is perfect!

I always want to get quotes to put up in the house but Tobei says first I have to fill the hundreds of picture frames I have bought over the years yet never used.

The banana hiding is a fantastic idea! I try to keep a few set aside for muffins but everyone eats them. I need to find a secret spot now….

I’m totally a quote person too. I don’t actually have ANYTHING hanging in my house {despite living here for two years…} but I need to get some quotes to display. 🙂 They’re all over my desktop written on virtual Post-its for now though!

I love the camel and my first thought was “you are going to eat those bananas?” But phew they are for muffins.
