“Look. Rash. Someone gave me the mati”

“Here put some Windex on it”

Just like that lovable Greek family and their constant need for Windex, I find myself using my Young Living Lavender oil for just about everything too! It’s gotten to the point that my kids ask for lavender oil or they bring it to me because they even know that lavender is good for just about everything!

What Does Young Living Say?

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home should be without it. Lavender is an adaptogen, and therefore can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy. Therapeutic-grade lavender is highly regarded for skin and beauty. It may be used to soothe and cleanse common cuts, bruises, and skin irritations.

So…what do I use it for? I mean, I did compare it to a very quotable line from a popular movie and well…I use it for everything. For real. I one time touched the inside of the oven and burned my finger. Normally my husband tells me to dip my finger in mustard. Apparently mustard is supposed to help, but mustard makes me gag. So I don’t like to do that, but I did put lavender on the burn. Other uses for Young Living Lavender oil:

  • Common cuts – kids are good for getting these…Bella is so rough and tough…I swear I use the most lavender with her!
  • Calming – one drop is all you need to help wind down at the end of the night.
  • Lip Scrub – great beauty product!
  • Stress reducer – we all have stressful moments, add a little lavender to your bath water and relax!
  • Skin Irritations – it’s getting to be that time of year where skin irritations will be happening all the time…dab a little lavender on them!

Why Young Living?

Not all lavender essential oil is created equal. I’m not going to bad mouth another company, but I will say…do your research. You want to make sure that what you are using is pure. Check out the Young Living Seed to Seal commitment and I think you will see why I chose this wonderful company. If, after that, you still have questions PLEASE ask! I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have and tell you all about how to become a wholesale member! Right now I have an awesome incentive for those of you that do decided to become a wholesale member…you’re going to love it!

I have not tried essential oils but I need to. And since Lavender is one of my favorite scents it stands to reason that would be a great place to start!
