Be Prepared in Case of an Emergency

Remember when there was that HUGE nationwide power outage due to Niagara Falls like 8 years ago?  At the time, it was no big deal to me.  We had no kids, but I think about it now and if that happened now…I would be FREAKED out.  I wouldn’t want my kids brushing their teeth with the tap water (even though they said it was safe); I would get totally sick of eating nothing but peanut butter sandwiches; and don’t even get me started on not having access to my cell phone or any other electronic device.  Yes I am one of those people that is ALWAYS connected to the internet 24/7.

On a serious note though, at random times, the thought that I should Buy Emergency Foods, pops into my head.  You never know when a disaster of some sort is going to happen…sure that may make me paranoid (I’m OK with that actually)…but the fact of the matter is, anything can happen at anytime, what’s wrong with being prepared?

I’m not talking about going all crazy and having a bomb shelter under my house, though that would be pretty cool place to lock the kids up in when they are driving me crazy…I’m kidding (sort of)!  No really…I wouldn’t have a bomb shelter in my house…a panic room, maybe…OK jokes are over.  All I’m talking about is having extra batteries on hand, flashlights in every room, water, non-perishable foods, etc.  Check out BuyEmergencyFoods.com and check out all the different ways you can stock up on foods in case of an emergency.

Do you have an emergency stash?  If so, what do you have in yours?  And most importantly, how do you store it?
